It’s getting to the time of year where your carpets are bound to get muddy which could potentially lead to minor health issues… That’s why SJS, your Leicestershire carpet cleaners are helping you to remove those muddy stains!

If you have a synthetic-fibre carpet, follow these tips:

1) Vacuum any dry mud or dirt, removing as much as possible
2) Dip a white cloth into a detergent solution and dab repeatedly. DO NOT RUB! Press the cloth on the stain for a few seconds and wait 15 minutes. You can then soak up the excess liquid with a dry cloth.
3) Get another cloth and dip in lukewarm water, dabbing at the stain until removed.

For natural-fibre carpets, follow these tips:

1) Vacuum any dry mud or dirt, removing as much as possible
2) Spray the stain with detergent solution and blot with a dry cloth.
3) Then spray with vinegar solution and blot again.
4) Reapply the detergent and blot.
5) Spray the stain with lukewarm water, blotting with a dry cloth until removed.

These carpet cleaning methods will remove the stain and dirt but only on the surface of your carpet. Deep lying dirt will still exist further down amongst the fibres.

At SJS we recommend a deep carpet clean to look after both you and your carpets whether they be in the workplace or at home!

Pathogens and dirt are slowly built up over time. These can cause health risks to you and your family… If you’re having difficulties with allergies or colds it could be due to the underlying dirt!

Standard vacuuming or shampooing doesn’t fully remove the dirt and pathogens as they only treat the surface area of your carpet.

SJS provide a deep carpet clean that will reach right down removing even the most stubborn unwanted visitors.
